Barbara Wollenberg Professor at University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein. She studied medicine at Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at LMU Munich, Germany. She got Heisenberg Fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG) at the Helmholtz Centre in Munich, Germany. Barbara Wollenberg worked as a C4 professor of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the Lübeck Campus of the University Medical Centre Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. She worked Vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lübeck, Germany and Review board member of the German Research Foundation (DFG). She achieved many awards like Monika Kutzner Prize for cancer research from the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW), 2001, Anton von Troeltsch Prize from the German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery for "Immunological therapies for patients with cancers of the head and neck", 1999. Her main specialization is in the field of Biochemistry, immunology. Apart from this she is also an eminent Specialist in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, allergology, treatment of tumours using drugs, palliative medicine, ultrasound trainer.
